Fleet Space Partners with CopperTech Metals & Axiom Group to Deploy Agile Geoscience in Zambia

Today, Fleet Space Technologies announced a partnership with Vedanta subsidiary CopperTech Metals and Axiom Group to accelerate orebody knowledge and resource development at Konkola Copper Mines in Zambia. The partnership will deploy Fleet Space’s ExoSphere platform to enable faster, more precise exploration decisions through next-generation multi-physics surveys, integrated data analytics, and predictive AI, supporting CopperTech’s strategy to responsibly increase copper production.
As Vedanta’s Global Technical Partner, Axiom Group will lead resource-to-reserve conversion with its engineering partner VBKOM and the integration of Fleet Space’s Agile Geoscience capabilities into Konkola’s near-mine exploration workflows, combining AI-powered drill targeting, multi-physics, and data-rich subsurface intelligence to increase probability and support confident, data-driven drilling decisions in complex geological settings.
“For producers like CopperTech, accelerating its responsible development requires a more deeply integrated approach to exploration,” said Flavia Tata Nardini, Co-Founder and CEO of Fleet Space Technologies. “By bringing Agile Geoscience to KCM, we’re not only helping to unlock critical resources faster and more efficiently, but also introducing next-gen exploration technologies and skills to the Zambian mining sector, strengthening the nation’s long-term mining competitiveness.”
Fleet Space and Axiom Group became strategic partners in 2025, combining Fleet Space’s space-enabled, AI-powered ExoSphere technology stack with Axiom’s deep, global, end-to-end technical expertise across geology, geophysics, and mining systems. Axiom operates globally across Africa, the Americas, the Middle East, and Australia, supporting major and emerging mining companies with integrated exploration and resource development services, and one of the largest geophysical suites, with a strong focus on deploying advanced integrated technologies at scale.
“This partnership with CopperTech represents a model for how industry-leading mining companies can move faster with confidence,” said Doug Engdahl, CEO and President of Axiom Group. “The combination of Axiom’s end-to-end technical expertise, Fleet Space’s global leadership in Agile Geoscience solutions, and VBKOM’s extensive mine engineering will support companies like CopperTech - enabling rapid, data-rich decisions that accelerate resource development and support the copper production required to meet urgent global demand, while introducing advanced exploration capabilities.”
Bringing together leading research institutes - Stanford University’s Mineral-X and MIT Media Lab - and global space leaders like NASA, Fleet Space’s development of technologies underpinning Agile Geoscience is driving exploration outcomes for customers worldwide, including an expanded mineralisation zone at the Cisco Lithium Project (AEMQ Discovery of the Year finalist) and intercepts of uranium-related alteration at the Perch River Uranium Property in Canada. For accelerating orebody knowledge and resource development while reducing environmental impact with ExoSphere, Fleet Space received Mining Magazine’s Exploration Excellence Award in 2025.
