About the event
From the classroom to the cosmos
The Summit to the Stratosphere event marks the grand finale of the 2025 LaunchBox
Program, a national STEM initiative connecting students with the real-world space industry.
After months of designing, building, and testing their own satellites (the RASCube-LB), the
top LaunchBox student teams will see their work soar high above Earth aboard a real
weather balloon. It’s a full day of discovery, innovation, and inspiration. Celebrating the next
generation of space pioneers!

Watch as the winning student teams launch their CubeSats into the stratosphere.
- Drone demonstrations
Fleet drones will take flight in our RASCube and Egg Drop Challenges.

Honour the top 10 LaunchBox teams, recognise the winner of the First Nations Character Naming Competition, and celebrate innovation through the Ad Astra Awards.
