Our approach is to combine space technology, proprietary seismic sensors, cutting edge Ambient Noise Tomography, and machine learning to provide the world’s first scalable 3D exploration dataset with near-real-time insights to guide active exploration programs far more efficiently to new deposits.  This is Fleet’s flagship product, ExoSphere - a space-enabled solution for mineral exploration in real-time, in 3D, and under cover with very low environmental impact.  Since launching ExoSphere in March 2022, Fleet has signed contracts with over 30 clients including Rio Tinto, Barrick Gold and Core Lithium and completed over 300 Ambient Noise Tomography surveys, more than any other company in the world.

The Role 
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Geological Client Manager to join our team in Australia. The mineral exploration client manager is responsible for working with Fleet’s mining and exploration clients who use Exosphere for mineral exploration. The Geological Client Manager must aid in the planning and completion of exploration programs, review and acceptance of survey results, geological interpretation and sub surface models, as an extension of the client’s Geosciences team. They will manage the relationship with customers in the duration of their contracts with Fleet, flag and resolve any issues that come up during the contract, aid the sales team in identifying upsell or expansion opportunities, and be generally responsible for customer success and happiness. 
 
The Geological Client Manager will work cross functionally with Operation, Engineering and Sales teams to support customer success for deployments in Australia (and at times globally). Ultimately they are responsible for the client experience and expected to take a leadership role in ensuring all internal groups align to deliver the expected value.  The successful candidate must have proven background or experience in Geology, Mining or Mineral exploration, with strong customer-centric skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
 
 
Location
We are open to applications from across Australia but we are headquartered in Adelaide, South Australia.

Main Responsibilities
This role will be responsible for but not limited to: 

Account Management
  • Act as the main point of contact for all client account management matters
  • Onboard new accounts by educating customers on Ambient Noise Tomography (ANT) methodology and Exosphere
  • Understand client exploration objectives and success criteria
  • Translate objectives into executable exploration programs
  • Prepare reports on account status to internal and external stakeholders
  • Geological interpretation
Customer Satisfaction
  • Routinely meet with clients and track progress (KPIs) against stated objectives shared with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Respond to technical client queries such as changes to survey design in a live environment
  • Proactively work with internal and external resources to resolve any issues that arise along the customer journey
Customer Retention and Expansion
  • Ensure clients stay for the term of the contract and upsell/resell by meeting customer objectives within exploration program timelines
  • Resolve customer issues in a timely fashion
  • Identify and flag potential risks that could derail the exploration program
  • Identify opportunities for contract expansion, resell, and renewals; work with sales to drive revenue growth
  • Capture, document and analyze lessons learned at the end of each project
 
Key Skills and Required Experience 
  • Bachelor's (Tertiary) degree in Geology, Mining Engineering, Geophysics, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience managing clients in mining and exploration and/or relevant experience leading exploration programs
  • Academic background or industry experience in Geology is essential; Proven experience with strategic account management in a relevant industry - mining, mineral exploration or similar
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to deliver information to customers in a clear and efficient manner
  • A natural relationship builder with excellent ability to establish rapport with stakeholders on all levels
  • A curious mindset - displayed by asking relevant questions that keeps conversation progressing to open up opportunities for engagement
  • A self-starter with the drive and ambition to identify and open up new business opportunities using various communication channels
  • Proven skills in building and maintaining strong relationships with customers
  • A natural problem-solver and troubleshooter with a strong customer-centric focus
  • Ability to work through geophysical survey design parameter; An ability to grasp technical concepts and understand how technology can help solve various business problems
  • Great strategic thinker with the ability to identify sales opportunities and communicate to the Sales team for account expansion
